Open Options releases the NSC-100 Sub-controllerThe new NSC-100 network door module from Open Options offers simple, door to network solutions Carrollton, TX – January 20, 2010: Open Options, Inc. announces the release of the NSC-100 IP-based reader module. The NSC-100 is the first in a pair of edge products from Open Options that eliminates traditional wiring and connect directly to a user’s network. Also, expected to be released in the first quarter of 2010 is the DController Intelligent Door Controller.
"With the introduction of the new IP-based NSC-100, we are able to carry forward the complete set of features developed in the Mercury hardware and adopt those features and reliability to the emerging market for IP connected intelligent devices.' said Steve Fisher, President and CEO of Open Options, Inc. “This set of products, DController, NSC-100 and the new version of NController all allows for new IP deployments on all existing legacy Mercury installed systems as well as a superior approach to newly specified requirements for edge connected intelligent devices.' The easy-to-install NSC-100 connects directly to the network with a standard RJ45 connection and supports two readers (paired as single door), four supervised inputs, and two output relays. The NSC-100 also supports full Power over Ethernet (PoE) to supply power to electric locks, motion detectors, and other peripheral door devices.
