Course Offerings
Open Options offers in-depth training programs for our products. Classes are
available for both dealers and end users. All of our dealer training
courses earn Continuing Education Credits (CEU).
Training Services for Dealer Technical Staff
Our training services equip our Dealer’s technical staff with the
necessary skills to configure, install, operate, and troubleshoot Open
Options products to a level that will meet or exceed their expectations.
Most courses are a combination of lecture/lab instruction with emphasis on
hands-on lab activities. Operational up-to-date system software & hardware
simulates actual customer environment wherever practical.
Dealer Training Course Descriptions
ESSENTIALS (TR-E) - This 4-day course is
designed to offer a hardware overview as well as cover software
installation, basic system setup, administration as well as operation.

Essentials Certification upon completion.
--CEUs Earned 1.8
--Class begins 9am Tuesday and completes by noon Friday.

HARDWARE (TR-H) - This 1-day course provides
hands on hardware training including wiring and troubleshooting. Offered the
Monday prior to select Essentials classes.
--This course can be combined with
the Essentials course (TR-E-H).
--CEUs Earned 0.6
--Class begins 9am Monday
INTERMEDIATE (TR-I)
- The 3-day Intermediate DNA course is designed to build on the Essentials class
and covers elevator control, triggers and macros as well as graphic maps.
--Awards Intermediate Certification upon completion.
--CEUs Earned 1.8
--Class begins 9am Tuesday and completes by 4pm Thursday.

ADVANCED (TR-A) - The 3-day Advanced class
focuses on high level features such as anti-pass back, monitor point groups
and situation manager. This course is designed for students that are well
versed in DNA.
--Awards ACE Certification upon completion.
--CEUs Earned 1.8
--Class begins 9am Tuesday and completes by noon Friday.

Training Services for End Users
Our in depth training programs are designed to enable the attendee to
competently manage, program, configure and operate the product. They include
extensive hands-on time with the product.
All end user classes are scheduled on an individual basis. Please

your Open Options sales representative for more information on end user
classes.
End User Training Course Descriptions
OOACE - Administrator Course - scheduled when needed - 2 days - coached
workshop wherein the learner has the opportunity to practice and develop
skills in the tasks associated with operating the application software. The
learner is given a business scenario in which the system has been installed
and configured. The learner will perform the operations according to the
scenario and the operations task list.
OOEBEU - Basic End User Course - scheduled when needed - 1 1/2 day course on
just those modules that the user will be accessing, ideal for operators or
those who only use limited parts of the database.
OOEOT - Operator Training - scheduled when needed - 1-day course designed
for operators whose job function requires little interaction with DNA or
requires only use of select modules (e.g. Alarm Monitoring, Badge Printing)
OOBDE - ID Badging Training - scheduled when needed - 1 ½ - day course
provides the learner with the knowledge to design and print badges. It
includes topics such as importing backgrounds and images, capturing
signatures, using static and dynamic text as well as implementing bar codes
and magnetic stripes on badges.
OOGME - Graphic Map Training - scheduled when needed - 1-day course provides
the learner with the knowledge to create backdrops, place and control
objects, cameras, and linking. Builds on fundamentals attained in the
Administrator Course.
Ala Carte Option
In order to provide a complete package of access control solutions, Open
Options provides an “ala-carte” training option for your software
requirements. Open Options can help you determine what training is needed
and the specific format of that training.
