January 16, 2012 Southwest Airlines selects Open Options Southwest Airlines announced last week that they have chosen Open Options as the Access Control Software Manufacturer for their headquarters in Dallas, TX. Open Options participated in a RFI and thorough evaluation process along with several other access control manufactures and Southwest Airlines selected DNA Fusion and Open Options as their preferred solution.
Steve Fisher, president of Open Options, said, "Working through the evaluation with SWA has been a real pleasure. They took the time to thoroughly assess their needs in a software system and made their selection accordingly. All too often this important step is bypassed by prospective customers and only later do they ever become aware of limitations." A formal announcement will be made jointly in the coming weeks. October 20, 2010 Open Options exhibits at ASIS International in Dallas, TX Open Options participated in exhibits at ASIS International in Dallas, TX. At this year's show Open Options presented our DNA Fusion access control software along with our line of IP based intelligent controllers and network door controllers for the complete network access control solution. Open Options also debuted our newest web browser interface to the DNA Fusion system that allows users to remotely manage much of the system administration and monitoring from any web browser. In addition, Open Options demonstrated our initial interface with the Milestone Corporate Smart Client based on the soon-to-be-released 4.0 SDK from Milestone Systems.

October 1, 2009 Open Options debuts new products at ASIS International Open Options exhibited premier access control products at this year's ASIS International in Anaheim, CA. In addition to showing our flagship DNA Fusion security management software suite, Open Options debuted two new products in the hardware line. Our latest RSC-IP which is an IP-based sub-controller that works in conjunction with our line of network controllers. Also on exhibit was the SSP-D1 Intelligent single door controller with PoE support. The SSP-D1 is scheduled for release Q4 2009. March 20, 2009 Open Options, Inc. Announces Immediate Move to Met Laboratories Open Options has announced an immediate move to Met Laboratories for all product safety testing and certification. This decision was based on years of poor customer service and incompetent handling of our account by UL and should have no affect on our customers. Met Laboratories is the first Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) in the United States and has been certifying, listing, and labeling products for electrical product safety for more than 40 years.

July 21, 2008 Open Options secures University of Central Florida Open Options has partnered with Signature Systems of Florida to provide a comprehensive security solution for the University of Central Florida (UCF). ASIS 2006 in San Diego Thanks to all who came by to see us at this year's ASIS International in San Diego, California. Open Options announces DMP Integration Open Options has completed the first stage of an integration effort to the DMP XR-500 intrusion detection panel. In conjunction with NPower DNA, we can now accept messages directly from the XR-500 panel and display them in the event grid or throw them to the alarm grid with specific priorities. Phase two of this integration effort will allow DNA users to send controls to the DMP XR-500 thus creating a truly seamless bi-directional interface. ISC West show a huge success Open Options received overwhelming response at the ISC West exhibition in Las Vegas, NV. New products that were on display included the new NController and NController-X access control appliances as well as a preview of the upcoming version 4 release of NPower DNA. Open Options demonstrated the ability to handle smart card enrollment for the convergence of physical and logical security for the enterprise customer. In addition to the many interfaces to video recording, Open Options also showed how we interface with 3rd party databases for the sharing of personnel information using OpenDX data exchange application. Open Options Announces European Distributor Open Options has signed an agreement with Open Options UK, LTD to open up a European distribution channel for all Open Options products. Open Options UK is based out of England and will serve all European dealers in all markets.
Open Options releases NController Open Options is please to introduce the FIRST EVER access control appliance designed specifically to meet today's IT environment standards. The NController fits in a standard network rack and requires a mere 1u of space. It plugs directly onto your tcp/ip network and communicates all system activity in real time back to the NPower DNA security management software suite for monitoring and recording. The NController is capable of managing up to 64 access control door or any combination of door controllers, input boards and output boards. With standard plug-and-play features such as standard PC power cord and traditional RJ45 Ethernet connectors, the NController is right at home in any company's network environment. Open Options initiates iLearn We are excited to announce that NPower DNA training is now available by WebEx Training Center. WebEx Training Center is an internet conference system that allows Open Options to deliver live training to you using your facility's computer and phone. Open Options classes are still led by an Open Options instructor. However, instead of the instructor being in front of you, the instructor is presenting the same DNA training through your computer in real time. Open Options will be offering monthly hour long webinars as well as end-user training and courses customized to fit your needs.

Open Options announces MMS End of Life (EOL) Increased market demands for technology innovation and the addition of a functionally richer access control software product has prompted us to announce the End of Life/End of Sale of NPower MMS. Effective April 15, 2006 NPower MMS will no longer be available for sale and all technical support discontinued except for those noted enterprise customers. Open Options strongly recommends that customers begin planning migration strategies for moving to the improved NPower DNA software platform. See the announcement.
